Honor yourself…

Honoring yourself and who you are is aligning with the highest frequency, which is love. You should celebrate and acknowledge how far you have come in your awakening. On this week of your birth into the physical world, be proud of who you have become. Be proud of your oneness. Your connection to your true self and your divinity. Be proud as I am of you my child, for LIFE, is your ultimate gift.

Life, is my ultimate gift. It’s OUR ultimate gift….and if you look at life as a gift, its taking a moment to appreciate all your blessings right NOW, which is why it’s called the present. This meditation was during the week I was born into this world and took on life on May 26th. Receiving this download was exactly what I needed to hear.  Society teaches us that aging means your shriveling up and dying. It means a year closer to your expiration date and soon you won’t have the smooth supple skin, the long black luscious hair, the perfect white teeth, the agile tight body, the sharp mind, the youthful appearance…and the list goes on and on. It means you must BUY this and/or that to prevent the aging process so you can still be deemed “acceptable” and love yourself…but only when you’re “perfect”.  Everything you see in the media feeds into this insecurity of not being worthy.  It’s no wonder that as we get older, birthdays are imbued with a tinge of dread. Why would anyone in their right minds want to get older!?

Sadly and admittedly, I was still in the process of shedding this mindset. I was feeling a bit dreadful about another year of getting older. Another year closer to 40. Another year of not being where I want to be. Another year of failure.  All of these negative feelings we attach ourselves to become our reality.  We accept this as part of our human existence on this earth and why do we do this!???! Well, here’s the amazing part of getting older and wiser, eventually, we learn that WE DON’T HAVE TO. We can say FUCK OFF to the pressures of societal norms and lovingly say FUCK YOU to the things that make us feel that we’re not perfect, beautiful, skinny, young, worthy, (insert your word here)…enough! And that’s exactly right. Enough of the bullshit already! We spend too much of our lives in this relentless sequence of dread, instead of celebrating the rhythm of LIFE. For THAT is our ultimate gift. THAT is the truth of allllll truths. The truth is, loving yourself takes up just as much energy as hating yourself. Loving life takes up the same amount of energy as hating it. You have the power to change that.

I find that I’m only more affected, when I’m disconnected.

Today, I am a month in to 36 years that my being took on this vessel that is my physical body.  And while I understand the depth of my being, I am still human, which means I still suffer human conditions from time to time. It’s all a part of the experience. It took a long time to understand what oneness meant, and why separation breeds fear and doubt.  Part of why I meditate is to close that gap of separation. I find that I’m only more affected, when I’m disconnected.  That is the joy of getting older. That deep understanding of truth.  The exploration of consciousness. It may have taken me awhile to get here, but I am truly proud of the woman that I have become and continue to beautifully mature into. Most of all, I am so grateful for my oneness and my divinity that continues to be my greatest unfolding.

Today and every day I choose LIFE.
I choose LOVE. I choose LIGHT.
I choose ACCEPTANCE.
I choose GRATITUDE.
I choose ME.
I honor me.
I AM enough!

What are you doing to honor yourself?
